Charlie Heim: Biography

A bit about me

I earned a Bachelors of Music in Instrumental Jazz Studies, with a minor in Music Education from The University of the Arts in 2008. After continuing Music Education studies at Penn State University, I returned to Philadelphia to pursue a career in performance and teaching.

Currently I’m performing and/or recording with Formerly Known As, Megalodon, Marigold Opera, William Gruff, and many others throughout the Philly area.

As an educator, I’m a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Arts, Music Director of the School of Rock in Cherry Hill, a member of the Summer Music faculty at Penn State, and a freelance private instructor.
