After some great shows in support of our new release, the Alex Radus Trio has been receiving critical acclaim for Jewels & Tinware. Local music mags Steel Notes and The Elucidator had some great things to say about Alex's songwriting, singing and guitar playing, as well as the "perfect amount of interplay" provided by myself and Dan Manchester.
Steel Notes Magazine gave the record two thumbs up:
Reviewer Michael "Jacobs" McKenna dug our disc so much he "...had to listen to this CD exactly 3 times to see the whole picture of what [Alex] and the boys were presenting."
The tracks on this effort take one to different places, touch on realities that permeate our lives, and leave one yearning for more... Well Done!!
Noting the deft genre-switching and strong songwriting, here's hoping Jewels & Tinware takes you somewhere too. Read the review here
Elucidator Magazine featured Alex and the album:
Carter Lansing wades through the deep pool of talent in the Lehigh Valley, and comes out on top with our new record. The entire review is posted below from the Fall 2014 edition of The Elucidator, and it features a particularly amusing gem of musical insight in its closing sentence.
